Stano (Stanislav) Pitoňák is a Slovak actor born on 20 February 1972 in Košice. He studied acting at the Conservatory in Košice and started his professional theatre career at the Jonáš Záborský Theatre in Prešov. Later he also worked at the State Theatre in Košice, Andrej Bagar Theatre in Nitra and again in Prešov. Currently he is a member of the drama ensemble of the State Theatre Košice, where he plays a wide range of characters. His well-known productions include the character of Adolf Hitler in the comedy At Home with the Hitlers, Tom in Tom, Dick and Harry, Augustin Ferraillon in The Beetle in the Head, Milan in The School for Women, as well as roles in the plays Our Furiants, Maria Stuart and Adam’s Apples.In addition to drama, he is also involved in television and film production – he has appeared in the series Detective Dusha and Dubček, as well as in the films Krajinka (The Countryside) and Camp of the Fallen Ladies (Camp of the Fallen Women). He is also active in dubbing. In 2021, he performed his first stand-up called NAVEKYAMEN (Stan P.’s Stand-Up), which was written and directed for him by Martin Čičvák. He sees this format as a challenge because it requires openness, precision and authentic contact with the audience.
