Ivan Trojan (born June 30, 1964, in Prague) is a leading Czech actor and screenwriter. He graduated from DAMU, worked at the Vinohrady Theatre, and has been with the Dejvice Theatre since 1997. He gained fame with the film Samotáři (2000) and starred in significant works such as Želary, Václav, Ve stínu, and Charlatan. He holds a record number of Czech Lions (4× lead role, 2× supporting role). He is known for his natural yet psychologically precise acting style. He collaborated with director Agnieszka Holland (film Charlatan, 2020). He is the son of actor Ladislav Trojan and the brother of director Ondřej Trojan. He is a football fan, especially of the Bohemians 1905 club. Considered one of the most prominent figures in the Czech acting scene.
