Zdenka Kvasková is an actress, musician, and artist from the village of Cernina in eastern Slovakia. Currently, she is a member of the drama ensemble of the Alexander Duchnovič Theatre in Prešov, where she has established herself as a prominent figure of the company. Her artistic journey led her through art studies, teaching, and experience with the traveling Divadlo Portál, where she primarily focused on children’s audiences. Later, she performed at Divadlo Drak and participated in several musical and drama productions. At the Rusyn Theatre in Prešov, she appeared in several challenging roles, including the role of Oška in the play Pieskovisko, for which she received a premium from the Literary Fund and a nomination for the Academy of Theatre Creators award. Another significant production was Sľuby by J. G. Tajovský, where she again impressed with her precision and natural expression. In addition to theatre, she also dedicates herself to music – she is a singer, lyricist, and the face of the musical project KVASKOVA, in which she sings original songs in Slovak and Rusyn. Her artistic sensibility and experience with visual arts significantly influence both her acting and musical expression, which are characterized by sensitivity, imagery, and authenticity.
