The production is based on the novel This Room Can’t Be Eaten by Nicole Hochholczer. It is the story of a girl looking for someone to be a support in her adolescence. She finds this in her art teacher. The monodrama deals with the question of the relationship between an adult man and an immature girl, and tries to bring the figurative text and the inner world of the main character sensitively to the stage. It doesn’t moralise, it doesn’t condemn, it asks questions, it creates space for reflection… “I want to eat my parents, every border that can’t be eaten, at home I scrape the plaster of my room, as children do, who supposedly lack minerals, but maybe they are just curious about the taste and what’s behind the wall. Finally, I want to eat my room too. But can it be done? Because I just can’t imagine it any other way. And especially the sex, the sex is awfully good.”
